On June 25th, the partners of the European project Atlantic Sunset met in person in the city of Angers, bringing together a total of 16 participants who discussed the key topics to be developed in the final phase of this project focused on sunsets.
The day began with a Steering Committee meeting, followed by a technical working session and, later, a Transnational Workshop focused on analyzing the results obtained so far by the various scientific research teams involved.
One of the event’s highlights was the demonstration of some of the technologies that will be implemented at the project’s different locations. These included an outdoor high-definition camera with live streaming capabilities, a 360-degree camera, and virtual reality glasses designed for immersive visits to the project’s key destinations.
The representative from the University of Seville, José María Martín-Olaya, was unable to attend the event.
The meeting allowed the partners to further delve into the project’s most important issues and contributed to mutual understanding among the participants and their respective capabilities.
The ATLANTIC SUNSET project, led by the CEER Foundation, aims not only to showcase the natural beauty of the most unique and stunning Atlantic sunsets, but also to identify and highlight local endogenous resources associated with the sun, turning them into valuable cultural and natural heritage assets. The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund through the Interreg Atlantic Area Programme 2021–2027.
