The project specific objective is to set the knowledge base for understanding the potentialities and particularities of participating regions linked to the sunsets and its potential on tourism, culture and economic activity of the Atlantic Area.

Combining science, technology and audiovisuals for the promotion and enhancement of the natural and cultural heritage of the regions thanks to the tractor effect of the sunset on the Atlantic Coast, a major tourist attraction.

  • Creation of a brand image and logo
  • Design, development, installation andoperation of observation points
  • Design, development, installation and management of cloud platform
  • Museumisation of observation points and picturesque sites

Develop a consistent structured approach for co-ordinating tourism development activities that includes all key stakeholders in an appropriate/efficient way to extend the project work beyond the project lifetime, essential for the real succes.

Activities list

  • Socio economic analysis of the sunsets as a tourism resource that enhances the sustainability and resilience of coastal areas
  • Cultural mapping of resources, organizations, events, networks and initiatives related to sun tourism
  • Benchmarking of tourist profiles in the regions of the Atlantic Area and of the “ATLANTIC_SUNSET” products and services
  • Implementation of a campaign to transfer the project results to stakeholders
  • Creation of different pilot programs (3 or more) for the development of the sustainable tourism plan
  • Development of a Transnational Strategic Plan and Creation of a Consultative Committee to define the Strategic Action Plan
